2024 TRIUMPH TF 250-X

displaying the most comprehensive specification package ever introduced into the fiercely competitive 250cc motocross market, along with a class-leading power to weight ratio.

The new four-stroke competition model is an entirely new design that Triumph created in close collaboration with racing champions like Ricky Carmichael and Iván Cervantes. With the greatest parts available, the performance racing drivetrain and distinctive aluminum chassis are incredibly lightweight and compact, and they come ready to race right out of the box.

The TF 250-X has an aggressive, focused style. It is bold and slim, and its unique Triumph Racing Yellow and black graphics scheme will make it easily recognizable on the racetrack.

High-Performance Racing Drivetrain

Triumph has created a brand-new, incredibly lightweight, and compact four-stroke single-cylinder performance racing powertrain. The engine features an Exedy Belleville clutch, lightweight magnesium covers, diamond-like carbon low friction coatings, a forged aluminum piston, and titanium valves.

The optional MX Tune Pro app adds even more advanced engine management and tunability. With a controlled programmable engine management system, riders can utilize real-time user selectable mapping, a real-time engine sensor dashboard, and live diagnostic functionality.

Aluminum Frame

The special aluminum chassis features a lightweight, highly durable spine frame with two cradles that is optimized for mass, flexibility, and performance. With its total weight, the new TF 250-X will break previous records for the best “power-to-weight” ratio in the class. Moreover, it offers a high degree of tunability to accommodate various riders and riding styles.

Highest Level Requirements

With top-notch, high-end components all around, the TF 250-X boasts a specification that is unmatched for a production bike in this class. Top of the list is KYB suspension, which includes three-way piggyback coil rear shock, forged and machined 7075-T6 aluminum triple clamps, and 48mm AOS coil forks.

Galfer 260mm front and 220mm rear discs, twin 24mm piston floating front calipers, and a single 26mm piston floating rear caliper are all part of the high-end Brembo braking system. Mid-soft Pirelli Scorpion MX32 tires are mounted on machined aluminum hubs and aluminum rims from the DirtStar 7000 Series. The setup is completed with ODI half-waffle lock-on grips and Pro-Taper ACF carbon core bars.

Accessories for Competition

To further improve performance and capability, Triumph has collaborated with the largest, luxury brands to develop a line of competition accessories in addition to the excellent specifications already included as standard.

Among these accessories are:

Complete titanium exhaust system Akrapovič XTrig hole shot device
The Athena LC-GPA launch control module features an LED engine speed indicator, rider-selectable enhanced traction control, and launch control settings.
MX Adjust Pro wireless module
Gripper seat and seat cover performance
Replacement bodywork kit
Alongside the new TF 250-X, Triumph’s Motocross dealer centers will also carry a new line of apparel. The line, which Triumph introduced in collaboration with Alpinestars, consists of clothing and boots for motocross and enduro.

Specialized Triumph MX locations

New, specialized Triumph Motocross and Enduro centers will open in Europe, Australia, and the USA starting in the spring of 2024, with 300 opening by the end of the same year. These are specialized off-road dealerships that are committed and well-trained. They offer sales, maintenance, parts, apparel, and race support.

An exclusive round-the-clock parts and accessory supply system supports this network. This new electronic parts and accessory catalogue is fully mobile optimized and can be accessed through the Triumph website, allowing riders to look up parts and place orders while at the racetrack. Riders can choose what they require, verify the price and availability, and place an order for standard delivery, click-and-collect, or expedited delivery from their nearby Triumph motorcycle dealer.

Pedigree in Racing

Triumph’s highly esteemed engineering teams contribute their proficiency in innovative design, award-winning quality, and precision engineering. The greatest racing accomplishments of Triumph in the modern era can be attributed to these teams, including the Moto2TM championship, where Triumph’s engines have revolutionized the class and set new lap and speed records at Moto2 racetracks across the globe. The teams aim for success, whether it is through factory World Supersport racing, the Isle of Man TT, multiple Supersport victories, or even a victory at the Daytona 200.

Some of the biggest names in motocross, like the greatest MX rider of all time, Ricky Carmichael, have supported the team. He has collaborated with the Triumph engine and chassis teams during the entire scoping, prototyping, testing, and development process.

Iván Cervantes, a five-time world champion in enduro, a five-time Spanish MX champion, and a finisher in the Dakar Rally, has collaborated with Triumph’s internal teams throughout the project to contribute his expertise in bike development and prototyping.

This team, along with the TF 250-X at the starting line, puts Triumph in a strong position to launch its motocross racing program in 2024. Triumph Racing will compete in the prestigious FIM Motocross World Championship in 2024 with a factory-supported program set-up in collaboration with Thierry Chizat-Suzzoni, one of the most successful and seasoned team owners in the sport. Thierry will begin his campaign with two of Triumph’s brand-new 250cc 4-stroke MX bikes in the 2024 MX2 class, which will be sponsored by Monster Energy.

Team Manager Vincent Bereni is leading a group of highly skilled technical personnel who are all committed to taking Triumph to the highest level of racing performance, which forms the foundation of their win-oriented mindset. Thierry and Vincent’s impressive track record of over 80 victories in the MXGP World Championship speaks for itself.

Clément Desalle is a highly experienced racer who has competed at the highest level in the MXGP World Championship for 15 years. He joined the team as a test rider. One of the series’ most reliable drivers, he finished third in the World Championship three times, twice in fourth place, and three times as Vice Champion. Throughout his career, he not only won the Pro Open Belgian championship but also reached the top step of the podium 23 times.

The incredibly gifted Bobby Hewitt leads Triumph Racing’s US SuperMotocross World Championship team, while Steve “Scuba” Westfall serves as team manager. This pair has repeatedly demonstrated that they are skilled at winning. They assembled a formidable team that included Dudley Cramond, who has over 25 years of experience building race-winning engines, and Dave Arnold, an AMA Hall of Fame legend in the chassis development industry. In the 2024 World Championship, the team will compete with the brand-new TF 250-Xs.

In the mud

Triumph’s new motocross dealers are accepting orders for the TF 250-X, which will retail for £9,795 and be delivered in the spring of 2024.
